The FotoDumky Standard
What we mean when we say "real photography."

This standard applies to the photographs themselves. Optional room visualizations are AI-generated and clearly labelled.

Real Capture

Every photograph begins with light reaching a camera sensor, not a prompt typed into a machine. If it was not photographed, it is not presented here as a photograph. The frame is composed and exposed in camera. There is no second chance afterward.

No Content Alteration

No elements are added, removed or generated after capture, apart from the FotoDumky logo. Web copies may be resized and compressed for display. These technical changes do not alter the photographed content.

Human Authorship

Every photograph begins with a human decision: to look, to notice and to keep a moment. That decision cannot be automated.

Provenance

Every work is dated and catalogued in a private record. Original files are retained and can be made available for inspection on request. Metadata can be examined with tools such as ExifTool.

Transparency

Optional room visualizations are AI-generated and labelled as such, every time. Real is not a marketing word here. It is a constraint I accept.

This is not a certification badge.
It is a standard I set for my own work, and I stand behind it.
